It is an activity to train the students’ oration skills and the ability to make speeches in front of other students. Students are made into groups and take turns practicing in turns. Meetings are held 2-3 times a week for ± 1 hour each, using three languages (Arabic, English and Indonesian).

Among the existing groups are: PERSSAS (Assalaam Santri Football Association), VOLTA (Volley Ball Santri Assalaam), Basketball Club, Badminton Club, Swimming Club, Sepak Takraw Club, Table Tennis Club, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo.
These are groups formed for the purpose of stimulating the interest and ability of students in scientific work. From this group, it is hoped that new seeds will be born who are able to produce qualified scientific works so that they are able to speak at regional and national levels.
Given to students from an early age through participation in existing groups. Organizations that directly supervise all groups in the Modern Islamic Assalaam Islamic Boarding School Student Organization (OPPPMIA). It is through this organization that students are educated to become leaders. In addition, students can practice organization through the consulate organization which is an association of students classified based on their respective regions of origin, as well as extra-curricular groups and committees formed by the boarding.

To accommodate the journalistic talents of students, a magazine was created which specifically is a collection of works of art, appreciation and writings of students. The magazine is named KARNISA (The Work of Opinion and Intelligence of Santri Assalaam) which is regularly published by the boarding. For students who enjoy the world of astrology and astronomy, they are accommodated in a group called CASA (Assalaam Santri Astronomy Club).
